District Conference in Tagaytay
The 14th District Conference (DisCon) was hosted by QI Manila at the Taal Vista in Tagaytay on April 12-14, 2007.
The theme for the Fellowship Night was Barrio Fiesta. The clubs that participated performed a variety of folk dances some
of which were the Tinikling, Itik-Itik, Bangko and Binasuan. 1st Place went to QI Mandaue, 2nd Place to QI Manila South, 3rd
Place went to QI Paranaque. Congratulations to QI Manila for a successful conference!
Visit to PSD with QI President Enid Croes-Marugg
On April 11, 2007, QI President Enid and fellow Quotarian guests joined QIMS at the Philippine School for the Deaf,
QIMS' current Club-to-Club beneficiaries.
Medical Mission
QIMS, together with Couples for Christ, conducted a Medical/Dental/Surgical Mission at the Sampaloc Site II in Sucat,
Paranaque on March 18, 2007.
Unilab Donations at PSD
Last January 8, 2007, QIMS brought boxes of multi-vitamins, medicines and choco drinks (good for Jan, Feb & March
2007) to the multi-handicapped hearing-impaired pre-school students of the Philippine School for the Deaf. These items were
donated by Unilab.
Christmas Woofs at Daughters of Charity
On December 2, 2006 (Sat), QIMS tapped Friends For Life (FFL) and had a joint Christmas outreach with the 60 kids
(10 of whom were disabled -- cerebral palsy, eye-impaired, speech-impaired, hearing-impaired, down syndrome, autism) at Daughters
of Charity located on Km 18, East Service Road, SLEX. The kids got to play games prepared by FFL and got to meet Java & Pugslee,
the furry friends. Pugslee showed off his special skills and Java warmed the hearts and brought smiles as he walked around
to get some pats and hugs. No one went home empty-handed since QIMS provided enough food, prizes and goody bags for all the
kids.
PSD Pre-school 2006
Halloween Party 2006
QIMS held their Halloween Party at the Casino Espanol last October 27, 2006. The ladies and some of their family
members came in costume - some came as witches, vampires, geishas, egyptians, gangsters.. some came in Chinese attire... and
PP Emilie came as Queen Amidala! There was linedancing to burn the calories and mummy wrapping with toilet paper.
Phil. School for the Deaf - October visit
QIMS visited their scholars from the Phil. School for the Deaf on October 5, 2006 and presented a brand new digital
camera as a gift for them to document their activities. To QIMS' delight, the PSD students performed dance numbers for them.
The visit ended with a delicious lunch.

The 2006 Governor's Visit was held on September 18 at La Cabane Restaurant. Special thanks to QIMS' new member, Evelyn,
owner of La Cabane.
Can The Deaf Hear Knowledge Talk
The purpose of this talk was to educate Quotarians, parents, and caregivers about deafness. This talk was given by
specialists e.g. Audiologist, Speech Therapist, Parent of a Deaf and a Teacher of the Deaf. The talk was held at the Deafness
Resource Library of the Joseph Gualandi School for the Deaf (which is QIMS' current Club-to-Club project) last September 11,
2006.
Vist to the Mary Help of Christian Parish
Equipped with mini monobloc chairs last August 24, 2006, QIMS trooped to the Mary Help of Christian Parish in Barangay
Don Bosco, Better Living, Pque to meet some of the 3-5 year old children who will be their beneficiaries during the Hapag
Asa Feeding Program in October.
PGH Visit
Last August 24, 2006, QIMS visited the PGH Cancer Institute to meet with the mothers who availed of the HBC Livelihood
Training as well as to follow-up the prognosis of the children. We were happy to find out that one of the mothers has successfully
put to use what she had learned during the HBC Training and is now using the hard-earned money to pay for her child's medicines.
Garage Sale for a Cause
QIMS held their 2nd Garage Sale last September 2, 2006 at PDG Marilou's residence. Gates opened as early as 6:45am
because of the crowd that gathered to check out the items for sale.
2006 Installation of Officers and Induction of New Members
The QIMS Induction of New Members and Installation of Officers 2006 was held last June 15, 2006 at the residence
of VP Marot. Many thanks to the District Team and fellow Quotarians for being present. QIMS' special guests included some
students from the Philippine School for the Deaf and our PGH cancer survivors.
2006 District Conference in Pampanga
The 41st District of Quota International held its 12th District Conference in Angeles, Pampanga on April 20-22, 2006.
The latina-themed fellowship night was held at the Casino Filipino, Angeles City with QIMS grabbing 2nd place in the latin
dance competition. QIMS also won the Most Energetic Award. And, QIMS' Vernice Songco was awarded Star of the Night.

HBC Livelihood Training
The 41st District of Quota International, in cooperation with Hortaleza Beauty Consultants (HBC) held the livelihood
training program entitled "Magnegosyo with Quota and HBC" last February 23, 2006. This project was open to hearing-impaired
individuals, their family members as well as the multi-disabled group or those belonging to the low-income bracket sector
so that they could learn skills in becoming a beautifican and to be able to augment their financial status.
Luwalhati Ng Maynila
Luwalhati Ng Maynila is a home for the aged located in Boys Town, Marikina which QIMS visits from time to time. With
the funds raised at the fundraising concert, the club is now drawing up plans to improve the existing clinic and fill it with
supplies as well as some of the basic necessities.
PGH
The situation of the young cancer patients in PGH (Philippine General
Hospital) compelled us to rehabilitate the special ambulatory room to provide comfort to patients undergoing chemotherapy.
QIMS continues to visit the children of the PGH Cancer Institute every 2nd Thursday of the month.
A Quota Evening
"A Quota Evening" was a fundraising concert held by QIMS last November 18, 2005 at the William Shaw Pavillion, Wack
Wack Country Club for its beneficiaries. The concert featured The Angfourgettables, composed of Pinky Marquez, Isay Alvarez,
Bimbo Cerrudo, and George Javier.
Deafness Resource Library
Club-to-Club project of QIMS - the Deafness Resource Center at the Joseph Gualandi School for the Hearing Impaired.
With them is QI President Carolyn Rice and PIP Beris Pritchard.
